Together with Prof. Dr. Stephan Clemens (Plant Physiology), we were granted over 500.000 EUR for the project titled “Transport, toxicity and metabolism of dimethylmonothioarsenate (DMMTA) in Oryza sativa and other plant species"We are very happy to announce that our 13-year cooperation with the Plant Physiology group keeps bringing exciting research topics!
For the next years, we will focus on the effects of Dimethyldithioarsenates in plants, following the exciting research that we have carried out in our fruitful previous project together in rice plants and products.
As put by one of the reviewers of the project proposal, "(the) applicants are the best possible team to perform this research". We are very happy to keep this long-standing collaboration going!
Soon, the Plant Physiology group and we at Environmental Geochemistry will start looking for candidates to fill two PhD positions for this exciting project! Stay tuned!
