Lab renovation

A lot has been going on in Geo III during the first months of the year.

Already from the last weeks of 2021, things were being moved out and built down in our big lab.

The ICP-MS sadly spend Christmas break in a very (very!) small room, where our analyses took place.

In the meantime, our Lab 09 was being renovated and has now new floors, lamps, fumehoods, tables, shelves and cupboards, and a fresh hand of paint on the walls. Carolin did a great job designing the rooms and getting everything done (with just a  few set backs ;) ). 

Slowly, the lab 09 has been filling again, starting with the ICP and one of the gloveboxes, being ready to keep analyzing and taking part in very interesting projects! A second glovebox will follow soon, as well as other small instruments. 

A lot is left to do for the Geo III renovations, but for now, we will enjoy and get used to our new spaces!
