About the Cover:
Geogenic CO2 exhalations (mofettes) are excellent natural laboratories for studying the behavior of copper in soil. Natural gradients in redox conditions and soil organic matter concentrations allow disentangling interacting processes like complexation by dissolved or adsorption to solid-phase organic matter and precipitation of copper sulfides.
